Day 1 : Gaya/Bodh Gaya

Arrive in Gaya. Drive to Bodh Gaya 13 km and check into hotel. Take a sightseeing tour of this holy seat of the Buddhist religion. Here is where Gautam Buddha achieved enlightenment while meditating under a bodhi tree. There is a serene temple here, as well as the offshoot of the tree that offered shade to Buddha. The original tree was destroyed by Emperor Ashokas queen, but a sapling of it was saved in time and planted in Sri Lanka by his daughter. A sapling of that tree was brought back to Bodh Gaya, which still stands to tell this tale. A number of Buddhist nations like Thailand, Japan and Burma have set up monasteries and meditation centres in Bodh Gaya. Some of these include: the IndosanNipponji temple, the Thai monastery, the Tibetan Karma Temple and Namgyal Monastery, and others by the Chinese, Burmese, Bhutanese, Vietnamese, Tamang, Daijokyo and Nepali Buddhist communities. During October and March, monks from Dharamsala descend to Bodh Gaya. The Dalai Lama pays a visit here too during December and January. The Mahabodhi temple is a World Heritage site, built adjacent to the site of enlightenment in the 6th century AD. The temple was attacked and plundered by Muslim invaders in the 11th century and re-built several times. Return to hotel for overnight stay at Bodhgaya.

Day 2 : Bodh Gaya - Dungeshwari Caves - Gaya

After breakfast, proceed to Dungeshwari cave temples, 13 km. Here Buddha spent years of penance before attaining nirvana or enlightenment. After lunch, return to Gaya to visit the Brahmajuni Hill, believed to be the site of Buddhas fire sermon. There is a cave and a temple on the hill top. Return to hotel for Overnight stay at Bodhgaya .

Day 3 : Bodhgaya- Varanasi

After breakfast transfer from Bodhgaya to Varanasi and check into hotel. Take a short break before heading to Sarnath, 10 km. At Sarnath, Buddha gave his first sermon to a small band of followers after attaining nirvana. Emperor Ashoka had monastaries and stupas built here which were destroyed by Muslim invaders in later years. Some remains were discovered by British archaeologists in 1835. Sarnath is one of the four main sites of the Budddhist religion, Evening Aarti at DashaswamedhGhat . Overnight stay at Varanasi

Day 4 : Varanasi

Early Morning boat ride in Ganga River After Boat Ride Come Back in Hotel Take Breakfast After Breakfast Full Day Spend Varanasi & over Night Stay Varanasi.

Day 5 : Varanasi -Sravasti

After breakfast transfer from Varanasi To Sravasti and check into hotel Saravasti, visit Buddhist temple, Ananda cave, Angulimal Cave & Jetvan garden etc. Take your Lunch at Saravasti hotel, evening free. Have your Dinner & over night stay at hotel in Saravasti.

Day 6 : Sravasti ~ Lumbini

After breakfast transfer from Sravasti to Lumbini While going to Lumbini, stop at India/Nepal border for Visa / Immigration formalities. Later check-in at Hotel. After noon visit Lumbini, the Birth place of Lord Buddha.Have your dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Lumbini.

Day 7 : Lumbini~Kushinagar

After breakfast, proceed to Kushinagar On arrival at Kushinagar, check in hotel. Have your Lunch After Lunch Kushinagar Sight seen Mahaparinirvana temple where Lord Buddha take his last breath, Ranbhar Stup the creamation site of Lord Buddha. After Sightseen Come back hotel Over night Stay Kushinagar.

Day 8 : Kushinagar ~Vaishali

After breakfast, proceed to Vaishali visiting Vaishali. A very special place to Buddhists as The Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon & announced his impending “Nirvana". See the majesty of Ashok Pillar - Lotus tank, Chaumukhi. On arrival at Vaishali, check in hotel. Have your dinner & overnight stay at Vaishali.

Day 9 : Vaishali Nalanda Rajgir

After breakfast, proceed to Nalanda ,Nalanda was the most renowned university in ancient India. It derived its name from Na-alam-da, meaning Insatiable in Giving, one of the names by which the Lord Buddha was known. Rargir -The picturesque Rajgir, or Rajagriha as it was known in the past (literally, the abode of kings) is surrounded by the meandering river Banganga and 5 hills. During the lifetime of the Buddha this was the capital of the powerful Magadhan kingdom, ruled by the virtuous King Bimbisara. The hills and caves surrounding Rajagriha were home to spiritual teachers, ranging from the materialism of the early Charavaka School to the metaphysics of Upanishad philosophers. Like many others in search of truth, Prince Siddhartha, check in hotel. Have your dinner & overnight stay at Rajgir.

Day 10: Rajgir ~ Bodhgaya

After breakfast, proceed to Bodhgaya, full day tour to Bodhgaya & Over night Stay.

Day 11: Bodhgaya

After breakfast, proceed to Bodhgaya, full day tour to Bodhgaya & Over night Stay .

Day 12: Bodhgaya

Breakfast at hotel. Later morning free for own activities. Afternoon drive to airport to catch the flight for onward destination.
